We have over a thousand mat samples to choose from. Over 200 of them are maintained in stock. You can choose from every color under the sun, plus many textures and mat thicknesses.  We also carry suede, silk and other fabric mats.  Any of these can be cut to a number of different styles.  Whether you would like a single traditional mat, a double or triple mat.  Multiple window mat.  Or class it up with a v-groove, art lines or french corners.  At Cold River Frameworks we can do all this and more.  Including oval or circular mats. 

We also offer blocking for all types of needle craft and fabric art.  Blocking such items as needlepoint, cross stitch or latch hook rugs on to a rigid acid free board creates a strong foundation allowing the item to be framed and hung on a wall for viewing.  Once blocked, matting and glass can be an option as well.
   

If you have artwork that was done on fabric, such as an oil painting, silkscreen or a print on canvas but hasn't been stretched.  We can stretch it for you.  We use hard wood strainers, built to any size.  Guaranting a strong, square stretch that will last. 
 

Mounting is essential in custom framing.  Archival mounting helps to preserve and lengthen the life of art, photos, documents and much more.  Often artwork is rolled, folded, wrinkled or damaged.  Mounting them can flatten the rolls and eliminate creases and wrinkles.  When done carefully and correctly mounting can also repair most tears.  At Cold River Frameworks we use archival, heat activated mounting tissues.  They are 100% acid free and use a low-temp process which allows for more sensitive materials to be mounted without harm.   Plus the entire process can be reversed if ever the need arrises. 

We also offer cold mounting and lamintating.  Great for posters, presentation boards, or  when you need the job done in a hurry.

Removal of photographs from glass:  do you have a photo that over time has stuck to the glass?  We can remove it for you.  If it can't be removed without perminate damage, chances are it can still be saved using digital restoration and reproduction.

Archival Restoration:   We can repair and/or restore many forms of old art, photography, maps, documents and more.

Original art photography for reproduction:  These days, the costs to have your original art scanned for print production may be difficult to afford.  Let us photograph it and place it on your flash drive or media card so you can bring it to a reprographics company.
