Over the past several years  Rutland Vermont has become largely involved with the arts.   We opened Cold River in 2008 with the goal in mind to be a part of and continue this involvement.  Creating a shop with a large selection of frames, mats and more with a broad price range, means everyone can have something custom framed within their budget.  We offer lower margin pricing for artists, students, commercial and quantity. 

So...if  you would like something framed, this is the place to bring it.  Large or small, monumental or sentimental value, originals, prints, or 3D, what ever it may be. We invite everyone to stop in and see for themselves.  Even if it's just to look around. 

The Owners...

Locally owned and operated by husband and wife team, Ron and Kelly Gottier incorporating over 20 years of experience in custom framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, the arts and retail business.

Ron is a certified master framer and artist.  After nine years in college with studies focusing on the arts and emphasising on wildlife research documentation through photography and illustration.  Ron has returned home, opened Cold River and is taking pride in being part of his hometown community.

Kelly, also a Rutland native, has managed and owned retail businesses in Rutland county, including the downtown for over 20 years.  Also having an artistic eye and strong flair for design she plays a vital role at Cold River Frameworks.

Together, Ron and Kelly create the right mix as owners of a custom framing shop.
